Deadpool Trailer is Officially Here!

Screen Shot 2014-07-30 at 2.18.59 PM

Ryan Reynolds is beginning to make the promotional rounds for Deadpool and there’s no better way to kick that tour off than with the official trailer. After going through much editing in the last few weeks since it was shown during the San Diego Comic-Con panel Reynolds made his first appearance on TBS’s Conan moments ago with the trailer and now that the wait is over, here’s the first look at Fox’s Deadpool.

I’d say that’s everything fans wanted to see and it looks like the film is headed in the right direction. Get your fill of Deadpool when it hits theaters on February 12, 2016.

Deadpool Trailer Debut’s Next Tuesday

deadpool-cine3d-3

It was mentioned that a trailer for Fox’s Deadpool was shown at this past San Diego Comic-Con to an immensely positive reaction (it even garnered an encore showing). While many were hoping for an official release soon after, Fox wasn’t so quick to give it too the public. They wanted to make sure it was a proper release suitable for the fans, so a three-week wait was what we all got… and now that wait will soon be over.

On Tuesday, August 4, the first official trailer will air during TBS’s Conan. Now, this will be the more explicit red-band trailer, which will be sure to stay true to its R rating. A second trailer will be a bit more family friendly with the green-band trailer set to show with the release of Fantastic Four on August 7.

Whatever they had to clean up for the big release should be worth the wait with the reaction the first trailer received. Can’t wait for the debut, and you can catch it here as soon as it drops this upcoming Tuesday.

Warner Bros. Releases First Look at Suicide Squad!

Well it wasn’t supposed to come out, but the leak from San Diego Comic-Con made it impossible for Warner Bros. to keep the teaser under wraps any longer. The first official look at David Ayer’s Suicide Squad sees three minutes of footage showcasing all the biggest characters including Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), and of course… The Joker (Jared Leto)!

While many are still a bit unfamiliar with the concept of the Suicide Squad or what it might mean for DC’s expanding cinematic universe, it looks to be a fairly original approach at showcasing villains as the focal point of an arena dominated by super heroes. Look out for this one when it hits theaters August 5, 2016.

Deadpool Trailer in Three Weeks!!!

CJZn3DnWgAAgxHn

Many that follow the proceedings of San Diego Comic-Con this weekend are privy to the fact that it is a breeding ground for new content to be shown and for companies to give fans an exclusive look at what they’re working on for the present and future. One of the more anticipated appearances at Comic-Con this year was Fox Studios in hopes that their would be some footage to show for their upcoming Deadpool movie. Accompanied by this promo photo (shown above) was an amazing trailer that was adored by the fans there. It was met with such a positive reaction that the crew went so far as to give an encore showing to the fans after the initial premiere.

As great as the trailer may have been, Fox studios plans on making changes to the trailer before it makes an official public release. Apparently the VFX weren’t completely finished and they want to clean up some of the effects. Ryan Reynolds tweeted about the trailer and having something for the fans ready in about three weeks time. Hopefully, we can check back in a few weeks and see what was so amazing it had to be shown twice. I’m willing to bet that it’ll be worth it.

Genisys, Can mankind win?

Terminator-Genisys

When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance against Skynet, sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect his mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator assassin, an unexpected turn of events creates an altered timeline. Instead of a scared waitress, Sarah is a skilled fighter and has a Terminator guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger) by her side. Faced with unlikely allies and dangerous new enemies, Reese sets out on an unexpected new mission: reset the future.

Terminator-Genisys-40

Terminator

Terminator 2: Judgement Day

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Terminator Salvation

In these previous movies we had witnessed Skynet takeover and go back in time to kill Sarah and John Connor. And so far humans have the upper hand because of John Connor and Skynet knows it.

Taking a new direction, machine decides to do the unthinkable….turn John Connor into a machine. Well sorta, he’s not machine and he’s not human. He’s more.

Guardian-Terminator-734x310Verdict: Terminator Genisys is a very entertaining movie that does better than the last two movies…in my opinion anyway. Now don’t get me wrong. The movie was good, but I felt that the film was lacking something and just repeating the previous films with new machines.

(Spoiler alert!!!) Hopefully the next one goes outside the box, but not so far outside to where everything is completely different and off subject… yes you read right, there is going to be a sixth Terminator! At the end of the credits they show that Skynet has been destroyed but under the rubble, deep down in the ground lies the core of Skynet. Alive and angry.

Terminator Genisys gets a 3 out of 5

+ Does a solid job on the entertainment front

+ Does have improvements compared to the previous two Terminator films

– The movie is still formulaic and doesn’t provide anything new that the previous one’s didn’t

Terminator Genisys is in theaters now

Goosebumps Official Trailer

Okay, if you were a kid in the 90’s then odds are you at least picked up a goosebumps book at some point. Between the books and the television series, the franchise created by R.L. Stein made it easier to market horror and mystery elements of fiction to younger audiences. Now fans get to relive a bit of that past with Sony Pictures live-action Goosebumps movie.

The story is a bit different as there is not one book from the series being adapted. Rather, in a fashion somewhat similar to Jumanji, the monsters from the famous stories have come to life. An official synopsis as well as a trailer is located below.

Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach’s comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange… he is a prisoner of his own imagination – the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it’s suddenly up to Stine, Zach, and Hannah to get all of them back in the books where they belong.

Check out Goosebumps when it hits theaters October 16, 2015.

More Attack on Titan News! Live-Action Movie to see Special Premiere in United States!

wp_ss_20150701_0002[1]

It seems like Toho and Funimation think that the best way to get some exposure for the upcoming Attack on Titan live-action film is to premiere it in North America. More than a month ahead of its intended release date.

Now no one should be too excited as the early release is only promotional. July 14th is the date and will be shown at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles (the same theater that premiered Dragonball Z Resurrection ‘F’). The fall season will see the part one and two come to North, Central, and South America (in select theaters) so there is no reason to feel too bad about the actual wait.

The early premiere in North does serve as promotional endeavor as it comes right after San Diego Comic-Con where FUNimation will be with Attack On Titan director Shinji Higuchi. CEO and President of FUNimation Entertainment Gen Fukunaga, in relation to Comic-Con, said that  “FUNimation is honored to host the world premiere of Attack On Titan here in the United States with Toho.” He also says that “Attack On Titan is truly a worldwide phenomenon and we are excited to bring the live action movie to theaters across the Americas later this fall.”

Attack on Titan Live-Action Movie Second Trailer (Now With Subtitles)

news_xlarge_shingeki04

The wait for Attack on Titan’s live-action theatrical release is winding down as we get closer to the debut pf part one in theaters (in Japan anyway). Its only right to take advantage of the time left to get fans excited and with that comes a second trailer for the live-action adaptation. This time around the trailer includes subtitles and some extended scenes of the titans in all their CGI glory. For what its worth, it looks great. But don’t take my word for it when you can check out the trailer below.

Don’t know if it can get much better than that. The popularity of Attack on Titan has grown exponentially since the manga began its run in 2009, and again in anime form in 2013. Expect it to take another jump when part one opens August 1, 2015 with part two scheduled for September 19, 2015.
