Fireworks, BBQ, Fireflies, and More! – Editor in Chief Message For July 2015

It’s the middle of Summer and I bet you’re enjoying every bit of it with peace and relaxation. Either you’re outdoors working on that tan or indoors to avoid the heat, it’s impossible to avoid all the new entertainment out there and July is full of it!

Two huge yearly events are about to start soon this month. First, San Diego Comic Con 2015 begins this week on Wednesday, July 8th all the way to Sunday, July 12th. It’s the biggest event to preview everything in the entertainment world, ranging from upcoming movies, television shows, comic books, anime, cartoons, and video games. Next week, EVO 2015 begins from Friday, July 17th to Sunday, July 19th. EVO is a fighting game tournament featuring the best players from around the world, as they gather in Las Vegas to see who’s the best in Mortal Kombat X, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Tekken 7, and more! We’ll be writing articles as well as live-tweeting these events as they go along.

Besides these two events, there’s a lot of media coming out this month. For movies, we see if there’s a way to change a destructive future in Terminator Genisys, follow the birth and rise of adorable and hilarious Minions, see how a thief becomes something more in Ant-Man, watch a rise of a evil organization in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, and see a boxer win his way back to his daughter in Southpaw.

Television brings us brand new episodes of The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, and Gravity Falls! Plus, we bring you July Anime you should definitely look forward to such as Gakkō Gurashi!, Prison School, Boy and The Beast, and more!

Gaming will be a bit slow in releases, however we will stream on our Twitch account some gameplay from Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, J-Stars Victory VSGodzilla: The Game, and God Of War III: Remastered.

As always, be sure to keep it here on tehlunchboxpub.wordpress.com and FOLLOW and LIKE US on FaceBook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, and Twitch accounts for more news, updates, and information.

Until then, have a wonderful July everyone, see you next month!

Summertime And You Know What That Means? – Editor in Chief Message for June 2015

The sun is shining, school is out, your neighborhood pool is open, and you’re being invited to each and every family barbecue. With those things in mind, it’s official…Summer is here! We have another month of huge things happening, so here’s what we have in store for you all!

This month is E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Thousands of developers and studios come together for four days in Los Angeles to bring you the latest and upcoming video games, systems, and projects. To prepare you for this event, we’ll be writing articles or recording videos of what we expect at this year’s show. Also, if you can’t watch any livestreams of either the Bethesda Softworks, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Sony, Nintendo, and SquareEnix, you’re in luck! Teh Lunchbox Publications will be covering it all on Twitter! So be sure to follow us here!

Even with E3 going on this month, we will be having another TLBX Streams event for Batman: Arkham Knight and the release of The Elder Scrolls Online.

For Summer movies, sleep with the lights on after watching Insidious: Chapter 3 or watch a group of actors make it big and spending money while making their agent go nuts in Entourage this week. Next week, we’ll be visiting a park under new management while surviving a velociraptor attack in Jurassic World and finally, see what makes us happy, sad, scared, disgusted, and angry in Pixar’s Inside Out.

You may not see your Fall shows until September but that doesn’t mean there are no great television shows. Hannibal and Netflix’s Orange is the New Black are back for their third seasons with Rick and Morty returning for a second season, but we have new upcoming shows such as Ballers and The Brink.

We have already released a June Anime Movie list here, but some of us are looking at shows such as God Eater, Non Non Biyori Repeat, and To Love-Ru: Trouble – Darkness 2nd.

Remember to LIKE and FOLLOW us on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, and Twitch for all of your up to date news and information on the entertainment world.

So from me and everyone here from Teh Lunchbox Publications, have a wonderful and safe Summer!

A Slow Start, But We’ll Be Back, Ready, & Awesome – Editor in Chief Message for May 2015

May.

The month where the weather gets warmer, grass is freshly cut, and classes are now coming down to the wire with finals and graduation preparation. Some of us, both me and the staff, will be on crunch time but when it’s over, we’ll be doing one hell of a comeback.

This month for the entertainment world, there’s a lot to see and offer. For movies, it’s no surprise (personally, I didn’t do it) that you’ve seen Avengers: Age of Ultron two or three times now over the weekend and our writer Stephon has a review up!. Later, we’ll see a post-apocalyptic world with crazy scavengers and high octane car chases in Mad Max: Fury Road, see a nation against others in a crazy acapella competition in Pitch Perfect 2, an out of this world adventure to a city of tomorrow in Tomorrowland, follow a CIA analyst in her transformation as a secret agent in SPY, and see California get hit with seismic natural disasters in San Andreas.

It may not be much this month, but for games, they have us saving the world from evil forces in The Witcher III: Wild Hunt and a PS4 re-release of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for the Playstation 4. We also may be taking a break from the gaming, but we won’t stop streaming on our Twitch channel with Mortal Kombat X and Bloodbourne gameplay from our streamer, Brandon P.

Also, it’s a good time for your favorite fall shows to have their season finales such as The Flash, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Arrow, Chicago P.D., and more.

We have a huge announcement next week on Monday, May 11th. Stay tuned, it’s quite awesome.

From us and the rest of the staff, we want to say thank you for your patience and for those who are on finals, we wish you all the best of luck is passing them. For those graduating this month, congratulations!

As always, keep it here on tehlunchboxpub.wordpress.com, and be sure to LIKE and FOLLOW us on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and YouTube.

Stay Cool,

Me Chibi!

Love Is Made Out Of Secret Agents, Zombies, & Masks – Editor in Chief Message for February 2015

The month of Love is upon us…next to three days until the moon hits the planet’s surface, the rise of a secret knighthood, another convention, an anticipated mid-season premiere show about the zombie apocalypse, and gentleman spies. It’s only the second month of 2015 and already things are packed for us this month.

For video games, this past Friday the 13th, we can save the world from evil and save the land of Termina again but in handheld form and in HD3D, as Link in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D & party up and take down huge beasts in Monster Hunter 4. This Friday is the release of the upcoming PS4 exclusive title, The Order 1886. We will host a special livestream of The Order 1886, where you can ask us questions, laugh out loud on our reactions of the game, and watch some awesome blockbuster gameplay.

Movies have us with Valentine’s Day decisions. Would you like to take your date to see a movie based on the best selling novel, 50 Shades of Gray? Or see a love letter to spies and action films with Kingsman: The Secret Service. The choice is up to you…

In television, the Patriots have risen as the new Super Bowl XLIX Champions and British singer Sam Smith taking home 4 awards in this year’s Grammys. We now have the Academy Awards to look forward to and who could forget The Walking Dead? We can’t wait.

Our own media crew and writers, Matthew G., Cecily S., Big John C., and Michael C. were at Katsucon 2015 over at National Harbor. this past weekend and we hope to hear from their experiences soon! Awwwww, missed us? Don’t worry, we plan to show up probably at T-Mode in Rockville, Maryland but DEFINITELY expect us at AwesomeCon 2015 in D.C.!

Be sure to check us out on tehlunchboxpub.wordpress.com for all your news, reviews, and previews on the entertainment world. Also, like and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and our brand new Tumblr page!

Stay lovely this month guys and see you all in the month of March!

October Message From The Editor-In-Chief

With witches on brooms, spirits on edge, and monsters under the bed, it can mean only one thing… it’s October! Bumps in the night, the funk of forty thousand years (Yes, I pulled a Michael Jackson there), and candy won’t stop us from doing and enjoying our jobs.

For gaming, we have our 3DS’s fully charged and Super Smash Bros. busting our fingers and the scary moments from PT and The Evil Within. Speaking of those two horror games, we will have a livestream with the latter two titles and a commentary video of our reactions as well, so stay tuned later this month!

For movies, we’ll be watching Annabelle & Dracula: Untold to creep us out of our seats, and John Wick for the action thrill seekers.

Television has our attention with the series premiere of The Flash and Constantine, as well as season premieres of Regular Show, The Legend of Korra, and The Walking Dead.

Our ear buds are ringing on music, with albums from Steve Aoki’s Neon Future and Taylor Swift’s 1989.

Our main focus at the moment is still building the company and the release of our newly designed website, which is schedule to have its official launch in the first week of November. We can’t wait to start posting all our reviews, gameplays, and livestreams in one place over using individual social media outlets, which will still be available for you to get in contact with us.

So, lock your doors, close your blinds, and stick with us as we save you from the horrors of bad games, movies, television, music, and comics… but we can’t protect you from the mad man wearing a leather mask, wielding a chainsaw, and hiding in your backyard. You’re on your own for that one.

Boo!
