anthem-dylan.jpg.adapt.crop191x100.1200w EA clearly wanted to bookend its conference with what they believed were their two biggest reveals. The day started with Battlefield 5, but it ended with Anthem.

The open world RPG was their centerpiece clearly and they wanted to show it off and the trailer which includes about 4 minutes or so of co-op gameplay with 4 very different character/suit designs with distinct characteristics. For more you can watch the trailer here.

Considering the boys and girls behind Mass Effect and Dragon Age are at the helm for this one expect a gaming experience akin to the aforementioned but with its own modern twist. I’ll be checkin out this one and I think you should to when it drops February 22nd, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Command and Conquer: Rivals Trailer is here

Command and Conquer fans usually know what to expect when they pick up the game and its no surprise that it’s one of the best and most popular RTS titles out there. But Command and Conquer: Rivals is just a touch different with a faster and more chaotic gameplay specifically to suit the mobile gamer in all of us. The quicker pace will be a welcomed change for all fans. Take a look at the trailer below and see what you think.

Unravel-Two For those who purchased the first Unravel were treated to a really unique and enjoyable experience. Yarny captured the hearts of many and fans hope to be treated to more of the same with the unveiling of Unravel Two. EA Sports FIFA 19

fifa19 With the World Cup opening only 5 days away it’s no surprise that EA wanted to do a big reveal for one of it’s most lucrative and most popular sports franchises. FIFA 19 Trailer boasts the inclusion of the UEFA Champions League which was a long time coming but a welcomed addition.

Battlefield 5 Multiplayer is here at E3

Battlefield-V-5 A couple of weeks ago EA dropped the Battlefield 5 trailer in time for their E3 conference. With all the anticipation mounting from fans, EA started things off today with an extended sneak peek at their multiplayer mode for the franchises next installment. Check it out below.

EA Play Press Conference Recap

Missed yesterday’s Electronic Arts Play Conference? Don’t worry, we’ll catch you up right here.

To kick things off, Frank Zampella of Respawn Entertainment took to the stage to reveal more information on Titanfall 2. The critically acclaimed series will be branching out to not just the XBOX One and PC, but the Playstation 4 as well. A single player campaign will be included this time since the first Titanfall only focused on multiplayer. Expect this game to hit shelves on October 28th, 2016.

EA Sports is highly praised for their Madden and FIFA series. With E-Sports receiving critical acclaim, it’s not only about the first person shooters and MOBAs (Massive Online Battle Arenas), but sport video games as well. That’s why EA is having their own Sports League, having events and competitions from their wide array of sports games. With that being said, EA also announced that a total of $1 million will be in prize money.

For the first time, both FIFA 17 and Madden 17 will be engineered in EA’s Frostbite 3 Engine. For FIFA fans out there, for the first time you will have a single player story mode called The Journey, which follows rising soccer star Alex Hunter. FIFA 17 releases for Playstation 4, XBOX One, PC, Playstation 3, and XBOX 360 on September 27th, 2016.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is looking promising as the conference showed off a behind the scenes video of Bioware working hard on the game. Running on the Frostbite 3 engine, the premise of Andromeda has you exploring the Andromeda galaxy, making new findings such as planets and species. More information will be revealed this coming Fall.

Since the release of Unravel, EA has announced their EA Originals program, focused on independent games and development. Their next game Fe, features an open world game dedicated to nature. You make the choices on how you want to start and go throughout your adventure.

When it comes to Star Wars, EA is keeping us busy either with Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes . With new and updated content on the way, there are also more Star Wars games inbound. EA released this behind the scenes video of their studios working on upcoming Star Wars games. We can’t wait what more they have to offer us.

Last and certainly not least is DICE’s Battlefield 1. Setting place in World War I, this shooter features huge battles having 64 players placed against each other using different weapons, vehicles, and tactics. Battlefield 1 hits XBOX One, Playstation 4, and PC on October 21st, 2016.

Titanfall 2 Teaser!

Electronic Arts and its studio, Respawn Entertainment, shocked the gaming world yesterday with the announcement of Titanfall 2.

Titanfall 2

Titanfall (which was first released for both the XBOX One and PC back in March of 2014) is a futuristic first person shooter where pilots fight man to man or use machines know as Titans to help turn the tide around.

The gameplay will be revealed worldwide on June 12th, which is two days before the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Titanfall 2 is yet to have a release date and will be released for Playstation 4, XBOX One, and PC.

Everyone Gets A Star Wars: Battlefront Beta!

That’s right! The beta for Star Wars: Battlefront will be available (both online and offline) to everyone courtesy of EA and DICE. No official date for the beta, but it is confirmed for an early October release.

In the offline mode, players will be able to explore Tatooine by alone or through the means of split-screen co-op by way of Survival Mission mode. Walker Assault on Hoth and Drop Zone on Sullust are also modes available in the beta.

It’s also worth noting that DICE is also working on a free Battle of Jakku DLC pack, which is scheduled to come out in early December. Again, there’s no concrete date for the beta release but the November 17 launch date will see to it that the beta makes its way sooner rather than later.

Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst Gameplay Revealed at E3

DICE’s Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst took the stage during EA’s press conference at E3 earlier and with it came some great news. Expect the return on February 23, 2016. As mentioned before, this will not be a sequel but a new game. This prequel of sorts will chronicle the origin of the main character Faith in the City of Glass.

The world is much bigger (and colorful) than before and creates a more appealing game. DICE also mentioned that the game will not see any loading screens or levels. With nothing like loading times or any sort of mandatory objectives to get in one’s way, this will bring a new meaning to the term free roaming.

Summertime And You Know What That Means? – Editor in Chief Message for June 2015

The sun is shining, school is out, your neighborhood pool is open, and you’re being invited to each and every family barbecue. With those things in mind, it’s official…Summer is here! We have another month of huge things happening, so here’s what we have in store for you all!

This month is E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Thousands of developers and studios come together for four days in Los Angeles to bring you the latest and upcoming video games, systems, and projects. To prepare you for this event, we’ll be writing articles or recording videos of what we expect at this year’s show. Also, if you can’t watch any livestreams of either the Bethesda Softworks, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Sony, Nintendo, and SquareEnix, you’re in luck! Teh Lunchbox Publications will be covering it all on Twitter! So be sure to follow us here!

Even with E3 going on this month, we will be having another TLBX Streams event for Batman: Arkham Knight and the release of The Elder Scrolls Online.

For Summer movies, sleep with the lights on after watching Insidious: Chapter 3 or watch a group of actors make it big and spending money while making their agent go nuts in Entourage this week. Next week, we’ll be visiting a park under new management while surviving a velociraptor attack in Jurassic World and finally, see what makes us happy, sad, scared, disgusted, and angry in Pixar’s Inside Out.

You may not see your Fall shows until September but that doesn’t mean there are no great television shows. Hannibal and Netflix’s Orange is the New Black are back for their third seasons with Rick and Morty returning for a second season, but we have new upcoming shows such as Ballers and The Brink.

We have already released a June Anime Movie list here, but some of us are looking at shows such as God Eater, Non Non Biyori Repeat, and To Love-Ru: Trouble – Darkness 2nd.
