After 14 years of unique podcasts, shows, countdowns, and gameplay footage, GameTrailers is finally shutting it’s doors.

Yesterday, the media website took to Twitter and announced their immediate shut down. What makes matters messy is the fact that employees of the website were informed the day of the shut down. Here’s what associate editor Ben Moore had to say:

“Hi everyone, Ben here. I just wanted to confirm that GameTrailers is shutting down officially today. Everyone is being let go. We all found out mere hours ago, so we’re still reeling a bit. Sincerely, thank you all for the tremendous support.”
