The original novel and manga adaptation focus on letters sent from deceased dogs to their former owners. The anime adaptation stars P-chan, a dog whose owner abandoned him.
Kaiketsu Zorori: Uchū no Yūsha-tachi (movie)
The the film is based on Yutaka Hara’s Kaiketsu Zorori series of children’s books, the movie will tell an original story. Hara’s books follow Zorori, a mischievous bandit fox who dreams of becoming the “King of Pranks.” Zorori aims to “build my own castle and make a beautiful princess my wife,” and he embarks on one misadventure after another with his two boar companions Ishishi and Noshishi.
Anthem of the Heart (movie)
Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda is the original Japanese title and it’s about a girl named Jun whose words have been sealed away. She was once a very happy girl, but because of a certain thing she said when she was very young, her family was torn apart. One day, the egg fairy appeared in front of her and sealed away her ability to talk in order to stop her from hurting anybody else. Since this traumatic experience, Jun lives in the shadows away from the limelight. But, one day, she is nominated to become an executive member of the “community outreach council.” On top of that, Jun is also appointed to play the main lead in their musical.
Gekijō-ban Haikyū!! Shōsha to Haisha (movie)
Is the second of two-part compilation movies based on Haruichi Furudate’s Haikyū!! series. The movie covers the second half of the first season of the manga’s anime adaptation.
Diabolik Lovers More, Blood (TV)
It’s the second season of Diabolik Lovers series, which is about Yui Komori who used to see dead people. But as troubling as past glimpses of spirits, poltergeists, and psychic phenomena may have been, they pale into insignificance compared to what she’s about to discover once she’s forced to transfer to a new school. Because it turns out that her own history is very different from what she thought it was, and she has a very different kind of family waiting for her. Now she’ll be sharing her living space with six very attractive young men, though not a single one is human. And while her new dorm mates may be brothers, and their attraction to her involves her bloodline, “brotherly” is the last word to describe their intentions. In moving from her father’s church to becoming the object of six blood lusting young vampires’ affections, Yui will undergo the most shocking, soul ripping and draining experience any teenage girl could imagine in her wildest fantasies… or most salacious nightmares.
Wake Up, Girls! Seishun no Kage (movie)
Movie sequel of Wake Up, Girls!, which is about Green Leaves Entertainment; a tiny production company on the verge of going out of business in Sendai, the biggest city in Japan’s northeastern Tohoku region. The agency once managed the careers of magicians, photo idols, fortune-tellers, and other entertainers, but its last remaining client finally quit. In danger of having zero talent (literally), the president Tange hatches an idea of producing an idol group. On the brash president’s orders, the dissatisfied manager Matsuda heads out to scout raw talent. Matsuda makes a fateful encounter with a certain girl.
Aria the Avvenire (OAV)
New Aria work produced for the “Ao no Curtain Call” project to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the broadcast of the first Aria TV series. The anime adaptation is on the planet Aqua, a world once known as Mars, Akari Mizunashi has just made her home in the town of Neo-VENEZIA, a futuristic imitation of the ancient city of Venice. The technology of “Man Home” (formerly Earth) has not entirely reached this planet, and Akari is alone, having no contact with family or friends. Nonetheless, the town, with its charming labyrinths of rivers and canals, becomes Akari’s new infatuation, along with the dream of becoming a full-fledged gondolier. Reverting to a more “primitive” lifestyle and pursuing a new trade, the character of Akari becomes both adventurous and heartwarming all at once.
Tokyo Ghoul: Jack (OAV)
An incident involving a human-devouring Ghoul occurs in Tokyo’s 13th Ward. To seek the truth behind what happened to his friend, the rebellious high school boy Taishi Fura pursues the Ghoul named Lantern with the young ace investigator Kishō Arima. The story follows how the ace investigator Arima and the talented 7th Ward investigator Taishi Fura first met.
