It’s been awhile since we had a true and authentic flight simulator Star Wars game but at this past GamesCom 2015 in Germany last week, Electronic Arts revealed a new mode for Star Wars Battlefront called Fighter Squadron.
You remember the Rogue Squadron series? For those who don’t, the series lets you take the mantle of infamous ships such as the T-65 X-Wing to the X1 Tie Advanced. You fly these ships as you complete objectives against the Empire or Rebel Alliance, and compete in dogfights in space or various planets.
For Fighter Squadron mode, DICE is bringing that same feeling back from the past Rogue Squadron games but with up to 20 in a lobby for intense ship to ship battles. During matches, power-ups and upgrades come into play to give you advanced proton torpedoes or giving you the ability to pilot the Millennium Falcon!
Star Wars: Battlefront hits Playstation 4, XBOX One, and PC on November 17th, 2015.
