Fans have been waiting for what seems like ages to see anything regarding a new Mass Effect game. Well, EA gave the fans something to talk about with a teaser and details regarding the story soon after. First things first, see the trailer below.
Now many thought that the character in the trailer was the actual protagonist and that they were hiding the race of the character from the fans to keep the actual details of the story a secret. Turns out that a new BioWare blog post courtesy of Studio GM Aaryn Flynn and studioo Director Yanick Roy states that the shaded character is not the protagonist and that players will not be restricted to playing as either a male or female character.
Within the blog post, it also states that the story will take place long after the events of the previous games and will also change location as well.
“You’ll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw,” the post reads. “And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with.”
Mass Effect Andromeda is scheduled for a holiday 2016 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
