Well, the news wasn’t supposed to get out, but all is fair when word hit that Hyrule Warriors would be finding its way to the 3DS pretty soon. Footage of the trailer is available on YouTube under the Koei Tecmo channel, however it remains private. IGN has footage of the announcement so hop on over if you want to take a look.

A couple of new characters do make their debuts in the trailer as Tetra and King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker make their way over to the 3DS version. Those who own the Wii U version will not be left out though. If you purchase the 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors you’ll also be able to have these characters join your roster on the Wii U. Can’t say it was the best way for the news to spread, but hey the fans are happy about it. Expect to hear more about it from Nintendo at E3 during their digital presentation on Tuesday June 16 starting at 9 am PDT / 12 pm EDT.
