Yes, the Transformers movie franchise is looking to expand its cinematic universe and Akiva Goldsman has been tasked with coming up with new ideas for the core films as well as ideas for spinoffs. That task apparently includes bringing in solid names to write the future films as well.

This franchise could use some positive news and it looks like it got some with word that new writers have been hired to assist in the expansion and continuation of the movie franchise. Deadline reports that the team of writers include  Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk), Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), and Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. There’s no news in the way of who will be apart of what films, but the team itself is solid and could bring a much-needed boost to an already fruitful franchise.
